Bequests
Gifts made by will are one of HI-USA’s most important sources of individual support. Bequests can be made in the form of a specific gift of cash or property, or a percentage of the remainder of an estate. The latter allows more flexibility in planning.
The following language has been approved by HI-USA’s counsel as an effective bequest to the organization:
I give to American Youth Hostels, Inc., doing business as Hostelling International USA, a New York nonprofit corporation, federal tax identification number 13-5639689, with its principal office located at 8401 Colesville Road, Suite 600, Silver Spring, Maryland, 20910, a bequest in the sum of $ ___________ (or ___% of my estate, or the property described herein) for its general purposes.
