Alaska

From snowy peaks, to rushing rivers the state is synonymous with adventure. Approximately 65% of the state is protected as national forests, national parks, and national wildlife refuges, providing an awesome playground for outdoor activities like mountain climbing, hiking, river rafting, kayaking. You won't be alone out there, as Alaska is home to grizzly bears, caribou, Dall sheep, moose, golden eagles, bald eagles and wolves. If you prefer sightseeing, take a scenic cruise in Glacier Bay or tour Alaska's parks from the air.

Due to the size of the state, transportation through Alaska can be more difficult than in other US states, and some areas are accessible only by rail, boat or plane. Also, you should plan carefully for the weather during the time you will be visiting. With proper planning, your Alaskan adventure can be a life-changing trip.
