Location
From San Francisco: take the Bay Bridge to 580 East. Take Fresno exit, staying on 580 to 132 East to Modesto. Take 99 South to 140 East at Merced. Look for address and sign 9.5 miles past Mariposa. From LA: take 5 North to 99 North to exit 140 East. From Las Vegas: take 15 W to Barstow, 58 W to Bakersfield, then 99 N to Merced. All Sierra passes from east side close from Nov to May so use above routes.

Amtrak (all year): Book to Yosemite and get off at Yosemite Bug stop. Greyhound (all year) Book to Merced then wait for YARTS bus to Yosemite. Get off at Yosemite Bug stop. Yosemite Bug Bus Tours is located at HI Midpines, all inclusive tour for two day two night meals, accommodations, etc. picks up at San Francisco hostels.
