Your perfect jumping off point for exploring Cape Cod
Voted the Best Hostel in North America 2012, HI Hyannis is the newest Cape Cod Hostel and boasts harbor views and small town charm.
HI Hyannis is a picturesque home, providing guests an idyllic place to relax. Only steps from downtown, the hostel’s location could not be more ideal: across the street from the Hyannis ferry docks, steps from the free Hyannis trolley shuttle, less than a mile to the Hyannis bus station, and within easy walking distance of many local attractions.
At HI Hyannis, you don’t have to go far to find the best the Cape has to offer – whether it’s cruising Hyannis Harbor on an 1886 Crosby Catboat replica, exploring Lewis Bay and the Nantucket Sound, kayaking, windsurfing, hitting the beach, or sampling the restaurants and nightlife on Main Street – it’s all just minutes away. And if you’re looking to visit HI Martha’s Vineyard or HI Nantucket, this is your prime jumping off point.
This Hyannis hostel offers private rooms and mixed dorms, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. Breakfast, Wi-Fi, and parking are all included in your daily rate.
Join Hyannis for Sleep For Peace!
Hostelling International Hyannis (HI Hyannis) is excited to be celebrating the United Nations International Day of Peace as one of many international nonprofits across the world that embraces the value of peace and understanding. The hostel will be hosting a community dinner featuring a variety of performances and interactive art creation.
Before dinner, Hyannis’ own New Classics Company will showcase local poets who will perform spoken word poetry about peace and understanding. Local artisan Kyle Owen, owner of the Heart to Heart Design Studio and five year resident of the artist shanties, will have a small table at the hostel where attendees can make their very own peace keychain.
There will be musical performances and delicious food provided by both guests and local businesses. Every year on September 21, the International Day of Peace is observed in celebration of the adoption of the “Declaration on a Culture of Peace” by the United Nations.
