in the beautiful state of Massachusetts

Originally a Coast Guard station, Hostelling International-Truro is the farthest hostel out on the “arm” of Cape Cod. Located in the Cape Cod National Seashore, this is a beach hostel: just a five-minute walk from the beach with large picture windows that provide a breathtaking view of the Atlantic. The hostel also provides access to fresh water ponds, bike paths, and nature trails throughout the National Seashore.

Just 10 miles down the road, Provincetown is a must-see destination for many travelers: beaches, the Pilgrim Monument, art galleries, the famous Provincelands bike trail, the Whydah Pirate Museum, the Dolphin Fleet whale watch cruises, and great atmosphere day and night.

Please note that the hostel is two miles (3.5km) from the bus stop, and there are no local taxis. Because the road to the hostel is a country road with no sidewalk, plan to arrive at the bus stop at least one hour before sunset in order to walk to the hostel in the daylight.

HI-Truro’s length-of-stay policy is seven (7) days in a one season. To extend your stay on Cape Cod. visit HI-Eastham and Hi-Hyannis, or ferry out to HI-Martha’s Vineyard or HI-Nantucket.
