There are five easy ways to become a member:

• Join online.
• Call our customer service department at (301) 495-1240 and press the # 3 prompt.
• Contact or visit one of our councils (local chapters).
• Contact or visit one of our hostels.
• Contact or visit one of our authorized membership selling agents.
• Fax or mail in your application.

The types and prices of each membership:

YOUTH
FREE (for those under 18 years of age)

ADULT
$28.00 ANNUALLY (18-54 years of age)

SENIOR
$18.00 ANNUALLY (55+ years of age)

LIFE
$250 (one-time fee & open to all ages)

GROUP

When you join online or call our customer service department, you will receive your membership kits in about two weeks. If you are in need of your membership card immediately, contact or visit a council (local chapter), hostel or authorized membership selling agent.

Your membership kit includes a membership guide, membership card, U.S. hostelling map, eKit communication booklet and discounts.

There are several shipping options available to expedite your delivery. Please allow 1 day for processing on all UPS shipments. Note that memberships ordered with UPS shipping over the weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) will be sent on Monday.
