HI USA is proud to welcome the National Peace Corps Association (NPCA) as an official partner and excited to welcome returned Peace Corps volunteers into our international community of travelers! As both organizations seek to advance deeper understanding, respect, and tolerance among people from all walks of life, our communities will find new opportunities to get involved and make an impact.
Our diverse collection of hostels and locations are where strangers from around the world move beyond cultural divides to build friendships and tolerance. Our hostels also serve as venues for our mission delivery, as well as for likeminded organizations, such as NPCA, to pursue theirs.
NPCA members will now be actively involved in a range of activities and events going on at HI USA hostels nationwide, from social story slams to film screenings to service opportunities. We will be working in conjunction with Peace Corps’ career fairs, and we’re looking to collaborate on HI USA’s signature programs, such as the Great Hostel Give Back and Sleep For Peace.
Founded in 1979 and headquartered in Washington, D.C., the NPCA is the nonprofit alumni organization at the center of a vibrant network of 220,000 individuals who share the Peace Corps experience. The NPCA champions lifelong commitment to Peace Corps ideals by connecting, engaging and promoting its members and affiliate groups as they continue to make a difference in communities in the U.S. and around the world. NPCA is also dedicated to advocating for, contributing to, and supporting the betterment of the Peace Corps.
