One of our favorite things about our hostels are Community Dinners. Sometimes they are planned and happen regularly and sometimes they spontaneously happen when a bunch of travelers come together on their own to make and share food with each other. From big hostels like HI San Francisco City Center to smaller ones like HI Richmond, Community Dinners are a staple of the HI USA hostel experience. Not only are they a great place to meet people from around the world, there’s always free food! What could be better? Here’s a round-up of some community dinners from around our hostel network.

Whatever the meal you’re sharing, it looks even better around the dining room table in a mansion.
