It is best to use the Los Angeles Metro trip planner to find buses that come to San Pedro from your current location http://socaltransport.org. Due to our unique location, it could take a few hours and a couple of different bus transfers to reach the hostel.
From Union Station/Downtown LA: Metro Silver Line (950x/910 San Pedro) to the last stop (22nd and Pacific). From there, take bus 246 to Pacific and 38th. Walk north on 38th to Gaffey. Turn right on Gaffey and enter through the driveway with the yellow gates located on the left side of the street.
Not all Silver Line buses end in San Pedro. If you are on the Silver Line that ends at Harbor Gateway Transit Center, you can take Bus 246 (San Pedro) from there to San Pedro. Bus 246 DOES NOT run to the hostel neighborhood after 7:30 p.m. Buses 246 and the Silver Line (910/950x) will only go as far as Pacific and 22nd St. After 7:30 p.m, it is best to take a taxi or car-share service to the hostel from the bus stop at 22nd Street. We do not recommend walking, as the terrain is very hilly.
There is free parking at the hostel
The Port of Los Angeles, World Cruise Center and Catalina Terminal are all located in San Pedro (approx. 3 miles from the hostel.) Bus 910/950x picks up at 1st and Beacon St and ends at 22nd and Pacific. See bus directions above for more information about how to reach the hostel from there. Due to the schedules of the buses and location of the terminal, a taxi, Uber or Lyft are recommended.
Take the 110 (Harbor) Freeway south to San Pedro. The 110 freeway ends in San Pedro on Gaffey St. Turn left onto Gaffey Street and drive three miles to Angel’s Gate Park. Turn right into the driveway with the yellow gates at 36th and Gaffey. The hostel buildings will be on your left side; our entrance is through the courtyard. Do not park in the Korean Bell Parking lot. Please note that these gates close at 11pm. A staff member can open the gates for you to park inside after 11pm.
Union Station is located in Downtown Los Angeles. Please see the bus directions for bus information leaving from Union Station.
Los Angeles Intl. Airport LAX) (21.5 miles) Long Beach Airport -Daughetry Field (LGB) (19 miles) John Wayne - Orange County (SNA) (36 miles). All three airports are served by SuperShuttle and PrimeTime Shuttle which we suggest you take to the hostel. There are also rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft that pick up from LAX.
