Step back in time at HI Sacramento hostel, a beautifully restored Victorian mansion in the heart of California’s state capital. In addition to private and shared bedrooms full of period details, the hostel boasts endless spaces for travelers to gather: a fully equipped guest kitchen and gorgeous dining room (complete with chandelier) make group meals special; a private outdoor patio is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the city’s abundant sunshine or fire up the BBQ; and our game room is an easy spot to meet new friends over a game of pool or foosball. Guests enjoy free Wi-Fi, breakfast, bag and bike storage, and much more. Just blocks from the hostel, explore the elegant State Capitol, the riverfront dining and museums of historic Old Sacramento, and the restaurants, music, and shopping of the hip Midtown District.
Accommodations are available in shared gender-specific or co-ed dorm rooms, or in private rooms. Most rooms have shared bathrooms, but two private rooms with private baths are available. Upstairs dorm rooms feature classic Victorian fireplaces and tile work, and a mahogany-railed staircase and mezzanine overlook the lobby beneath a huge painted-glass skylight.
