HI USA hostels attract a confetti of guests from all corners of the world, and often, we’re lucky enough to host seasoned travelers who share their adventures on blogs. Melanie from Germany recently took a trip along the California coast, which included a stay at HI San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf Hostel, and she shared the tales of her trails on her blog Good Morning World.
If you’re fluent in written German, you can check out the whole post on Melanie’s page, and if not, you can take a look at this excerpt about HI SF Fisherman’s Wharf so you can see what makes people fall in love with our hostels!
“By the way, I stayed at the cool HI San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf hostel. The location, directly at the beginning of the Wharf District, is unbeatable. Every morning, I was able to see the Golden Gate Bridge and even Alcatraz from my breakfast table. I wouldn’t mind starting all my days with such a vista. The vibe at the hostel is completely relaxed.
Every day, they offer free tours of the city, and in the evenings you can meet up either in the beautiful Café Franco or in the cozy common area in front of a working fireplace. Because after all, summers in San Francisco can be a bit on the chilly side. Even pub crawls and pasta dinners for the hostellers are organized by the hostel staff. It’s beautiful there, really. I would stay at HI SF Fisherman’s Wharf hostel anytime when returning to the city.”
Get excited for your own stay at HI SF Fisherman’s Wharf and take a look at awesome things you can do within walking distance of Fort Mason, as well as this walking tour of the city’s famous hills.
