This hostel overlaps the Appalachian Trail at mile post 59 and is the perfect gateway for short day hikes and bide rides, taking dips in the cool waters of the Potomac River, enjoying guided rafting tours or renting a tube and floating down the river. Keep in mind that we’re a seasonal hostel that is open from April 15-December 1, 2013 but can be rented out year-round.

4. Room Configuration – all hostels have dormitory-style rooms with bunk bed accommodations, designed to keep costs low and encourage interaction of guests from different cultures and backgrounds. Private rooms are also available for chaperones, couples or families.

10. Membership

Hostelling International is a non-profit membership organization promoting international understanding and peace though hostelling since 1909. To maintain our ability to offer low-budget accommodations we charge additional fees to non-members.

However, a complimentary Group Membership is available to groups traveling with 10 or more people. A group membership entitles everyone in the group to member rates at all HI-USA hostels, as well as over 4,000 hostels worldwide. (Only the group leader can apply for this complimentary group membership.)
