About HI Austin Hostel
Out of an abundance of care, we are temporarily closing HI Austin hostel. We are joining the worldwide effort to stop the spread of coronavirus and protecting our guests, staff and volunteers. We anticipate being closed at least through April, and we’ll post status updates regularly here and on Facebook. If you have an existing reservation, please contact us at (512) 444-2294. Until we see you again, we wish you good health and safe travels.
HI Austin is laid-back. Way back. Located on the shores of Lady Bird Lake, the HI Austin hostel offers a beautiful, tranquil setting where you can relax and unwind while you discover all that Austin has to offer. Borrow one of our yoga mats for your morning Sun Salutation and then enjoy our free, continental breakfast to fuel up for your day. You’ll meet travelers from around the world in our cool, modern dining room and lounge, but the best way to make new friends is by joining one of our free hostel activities. HI Austin is about a 25-minute walk to downtown Austin or South Congress Street, but you can also rent one of our hostel bikes or use nearby public transit to get around. Our amazing staff will help you find the best tacos and bar-b-que and when you’re ready to experience Austin’s world renowned nightlife, they can tell you how to make the most of your night on a dime.
