Change of plans?

If you’ve got questions about changing or canceling an upcoming reservation with us, your next steps will depend on where you booked and what kind of rate you selected. Please take a look at the confirmation e-mail you received when you booked to see which of these policies applies to you.

If you’re an individual traveler who booked a “best flexible rate” on hiusa.org 

Cancel or change your reservation for free up until 24 hours before your scheduled arrival date by contacting the hostel directly. 

If you’re an individual traveler who booked a “best rate” or “non-refundable rate” on hiusa.org 

Please note that your booking terms do not allow for refunds. If you must cancel your booking for any reason, a refund will not be issued.

If you booked through a third-party OTA, such as Booking.com or Hostelworld.com 

These services have their own terms and conditions, so you’ll need to work with that company directly for any cancelations or changes.  

If you have a group reservation 

If you’re a group organizer and wish to make changes to your group booking, please contact your HI USA Group Sales Manager directly or e-mail [email protected] to discuss your options.
