Through travel, we’re creating a community of global citizens who have the wisdom and humanity to actively make the world a better place. And in ways big and small, the content we publish on our blog contributes to our mission.
We love stories that:
- empower readers of diverse ages, incomes, backgrounds, identities, experiences, and cultures to get out and explore their world
- help our readers better understand the local communities in the cities they visit
- take our readers off the beaten path in and around the cities and towns where our hostels are located
- encourage environmentally and socially sustainable travel choices
- showcase how travel, and hostels in particular, can create valuable personal relationships that cross borders and cultures
- reflect on travel as a tool for personal or social change
We encourage submissions and perspectives from members of communities that are often excluded from or marginalized in the travel space.
Authors published on our blog receive payment per story, an author byline and bio, and links to their own website, blog, or social media.
