HI Chicago Hostel has two private, flexible spaces available for rent by groups staying on site. Perfect for meetings, classes, presentations, and more.

HI Chicago Hostel offers two private meeting spaces for groups ranging from 15 to 50 people. The Library and the Nichols Room are conveniently located on the hostel’s second floor near the kitchen, dining room, and restrooms. Whether your group needs private space for meetings, classes, or presentations, our sales staff can help you reserve the best room for you.

Please note, at this time our meeting spaces are available only for groups staying at HI Chicago Hostel.

The Nichols Room at HI Chicago hostel features floor-to-ceiling windows, tables, chairs, and a large-screen mounted monitor.

The Nichols Room

  • 465 sq. feet
  • Capacity: up to 50 seated (theater-style) or 30 seated (with tables)
  • Includes table, chairs, and wall-mounted display
  • 4-hour minimum rental 
  • $210 for 4 hours ($35/hour after 4 hours) with $150 nonrefundable deposit at time of reservation
  • Full payment due 4 weeks prior to group check-in date

  • $175 for 4 hours ($35/hour after 4 hours)   
  • $150 non-refundable deposit due at time of reservation
