While we strive to keep you in the same room/bed, this is based on availability at the time of your request. The sooner you can let us know you’d like to extend, the better. Yes! HI Martha’s Vineyard Hostel is an escape from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of common areas to kick back and get work done. While we don’t have traditional desks, there is plenty of seating. We have free, reliable WiFi throughout the property.
Minors traveling with a parent or legal guardian are welcome at all HI USA hostels. While we encourage guardians traveling with children to book private rooms for their comfort, we do allow minors in dorm rooms.
For safety reasons, children over 2 years old must have their own bunk bed in dorm rooms, and children under 7 may not sleep in top bunks. Emancipated minors traveling on their own, or other minors traveling alone with parental or guardian consent, should contact the hostel directly for more information on policies and booking instructions.
HI Martha’s Vineyard is a secluded retreat surrounded by forest. From the ferry drop-off points in Oak Bluffs or Vineyard Haven, you’ll need to access the hostel by car, bicycle, taxi, or public bus (there is a bus stop directly outside our door for easy public transit access, and a bike path that runs directly behind the hostel). Because of the hostel’s more secluded location, keep in mind that you’ll also need transportation of some kind to get to grocery stores, restaurants, and beaches.
Check in is available from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m., when our front desk closes for the evening. If you expect to arrive after 10 p.m., you must notify us in advance. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
