HI Sacramento hostel is centrally located in the capital of California, which is easily accessible via bus or train. The hostel offers gated on-site parking for guests who do arrive by car.
HI Point Montara Lighthouse hostel and HI Pigeon Point Lighthouse hostel are more remote and are best accessed by car, though avid cyclists can also get to these hostels by bike (on-site parking and bike storage are free for guests at both of these properties). While staying at either of our lighthouse hostels, you’ll want a car or bicycle to get out and explore the surrounding areas and activities, visit grocery stores and restaurants, and generally enjoy everything these locations have to offer.
HI Sacramento, HI Point Montara Lighthouse, and HI Pigeon Poing Lighthouse hostels offer both private rooms and shared dorm accommodations. Dorm rooms range in size to accommodate everyone from solo travelers, to small families, to large groups. Private rooms vary in size and may accommodate anywhere from one to four people.
While some private rooms at HI Sacramento offer private, ensuite bathrooms, most private rooms at all three hostels utilize individual shared hallway bathrooms and showers.

Yes, the famous hot tub at HI Pigeon Point Lighthouse hostel is open for guests all year! You can reserve your private half-hour time slot for $10 per person (up to four people) upon check-in at the hostel.
